It's the best way to kill a few hours on a plane. It's like a classic game like Sonic the Hedgehog, Mario or Crash Bandicoot.

Very awesome and a pretty great soundtrack to boot.

Goodbye NYC & Hello Boston.

It's a sad morning today on my train ride heading up to Boston, MA.  I spend the last 3 days in the city I love, but have yet to commit to, New York City.

God, every time I'm in town I just feel like I'm at home.  The city is just so much more alive than any place I've ever been to.  There is just so much energy, people everywhere. 3 solid days of no driving.

As much as I love my MINI Cooper, I actually can't stand driving.  Now that I've moved out to the country, I'm driving more than ever.  Before the mini cooper, I only put 20k miles on my Caliver before I gave it away and got my dad's truck.  Keep in mind that was over a 6 year period.

Since moving out to the county, my daily commute is 35-40 miles each way, Monday - Friday.  In 21 months, I've put 35,000 miles on my car.  I've actually driven more in the last 2 years that I have the since I got my 1st car 11 years ago.

With the exception of LGA to the Ace, I subway it all the way.  This trip I actually stayed in the city, so yesterday I was able to cover so much more ground this time around.  I finally got to see the Flat Iron Building, the Guggenheim, the Whitney, Washington Square and the World Trade Center.

The day before I was able to Grand Central Terminal, an Empire State building drive by and a quick tour of Grand Central Terminal.  The were a quick peaks at the old Pam-Am building and other various sites around the city.

Later that night we had the Best Porterhouse for 2 at the Porter House in the Time Wanter Center over by Columbus Circle/Central Park.  After some primo 45 day aged beef & wine induced stupor, we staggered over to the Top of the Rock Observation Deck to scope out the city at night.  Even though is was raining in and out all day, it was pretty mild and didn't hamper the mood of the photography too much.

The last stop of the evening was Times Square and other than Central Park, it's the thing I love to experience.  All the visual overload in constant rotation is so fascinating to me.  Between all of the people and enough flashing light and video to power the state of texas, I just get so juiced.

So as I sit on this train, I'm once again running schemes to make the move happen before I'm 40.  I feel like I've hit a glass ceiling in Texas.  Any career move I make in DFW is just lateral at this point and I'm overdue to hit the next level.

I've been staring at the cliff for the last 10 year, maybe it's finally time to make that leap of faith.
